Welcome to our club

Our members enjoy being part of the club and gaining fitness, stamina and the knowledge to deal with any situation in the ocean. We welcome anyone aged from 6 to 66 and older.

We’re a well-established, friendly surf lifesaving club that teaches sea safety skills to children and adults within a supportive, sociable team atmosphere. The club can also help you gain fitness, stamina and the knowledge you need to enjoy the amazing ocean environment where we live with confidence and safety.

Joining the club is a great way to meet people too. Some of us joined when we moved to the area for the first time and there's a strong social element to what we do outside of the active stuff.  We fundraise for our own kit and have received grants and support from brilliant local organisations like Fullabrook CIC.

Apart from gaining sea safety knowledge, improving your fitness levels and being part of a friendly club, we run training courses for our members. These include the basic lifesaver support award through to the NARS beach lifeguard certificate, which is the internationally-recognised standard for professional lifeguards.
